Introduction:
In the newly discovered land of Granado Espada, players can form a powerful family of pioneers to adventure and retake the continent from barbaric creatures roaming the wilderness. As they gain power and fortune, players decide whether to support the Queen of Vespanola・s rule, or battle for an independent Granado Espada.
Set in a fantasy world of Baroque style that mirrors the European Age of Exploration, Granado Espada is the first game from Ragnarok Online creator Hakkyu Kim・s development company, imcGames. The game boasts revolutionary features that merge online play with more traditional, console-based role-playing games.
Game Features:
Gorgeous Baroque Atmosphere
Kim・s team already won a technological award for Best Graphics from the 2006 Korea Game Award. The cities and scenery in Granado Espada are rendered in extremely high detail to capture the complex beauty of the era.
Multi-Character Control (MCC)
For the first time in an MMOG, players can control up to three characters at one time, making Granado Espada・s gameplay a mix of online gaming along with the more traditional style of console-based RPGs. MCC offers players a variety of options for character, class and skill occupations. At high levels, controlling the three characters effectively requires a player with honed skills.
Extreme Artificial Intelligence (XAI)
In order to ease the MCC learning curve and provide an effective engine for the game・s point-and-click based play to work, Kim and IMC developed an extraordinary AI system that helps players control their three characters at lower levels, and also helps guide their movement through the ornately rendered environment.
Family System
Players will collect up to 36 characters to form a powerful pioneering :Family.; Their characters will reside in a barracks, and can be mixed and matched for different combinations under MCC.
Recruitable Non-Player Characters RNPCs
Again merging online play with the style of a console RPG, players in Granado Espada can recruit various Non-Player Characters (NPCs) to join their pioneering family after completing certain quests. These NPCs will have unique skill sets that are not available to player created characters, making collecting them a major draw of the game
Versatile Stance System
Each character can use and learn a variety of fighting stances through which the player can customize that character・s fighting style. Stances may determine a character・s weapon type, default ability, or skill specialization.
