The strategic alliance is the essential ingredient contributing to the success of GCA 2009 and more importantly to the overall growth and development in the gaming sector in Asia Pacific. One key highlight of the partnership sees GCA 2009 being the host venue of the Singapore finals and Southeast Asian finals of Southeast Asia's largest e-gaming tournament, One Asia Cup, which will be played on the EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2 platform throughout the duration of the convention.
On 17 – 18 September, the Singapore competitors will battle against one another for final spots in the Southeast Asian finals happening on 19 – 20 September. Thereafter they will pit themselves against the finalists from Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for the One Asia Cup title. Up for grabs are US$100,000 worth of cash and prizes.
“We are glad to be teaming up with LMI Asia for GCA 2009. Being a leading business platform that connects the whole gaming ecosystem 2 of Asia Pacific, GCA is the perfect launch pad for our plans to widen our portfolio beyond distribution into game development. “It is indeed an honour to have IAHGames on board as a valued partner of GCA 2009. With its commitment to consolidate the world’s fastest growing online games market while helping publishers and developers bring the world’s best games to Southeast Asia, IAHGames’ presence at and contribution to GCA 2009 will be valued greatly by participants and visitors of the convention,” said Jorg Zeissig, Managing Director, LMI Asia.
