Although all that head-banging, jumping, mosh pit surfing and running around has made my legs wobbly, I learned so much about interaction with my new friends that I just have to share it with you before I hit the hay! Psst, tell you a secret! I saw a cute and mysterious guy hanging out in the Illusion Café after the party. I secretly clicked on him and I could view his profile, visit his room, add him as a friend, send him a trade request as well as chat with him privately. Oh but I was too shy to face this beautiful stranger, so I quickly ran back to my private room to strategize! Trying to act normal while checking him out…. Then strategizing (and moping) back in my room No time like the present to practise my newfound knowledge of emoticons in GamesTown, as well as my moves and actions. Maybe I could also purchase some effects to make my avatar sparkle to catch his attention so that he might come over, click on me and say “Hi”. Time to grab the bull by the horns, stop sighing in my room and psych myself up to approach him…
Call out the animated emoticons from the menu bar – like my shy blush? Choose from the array of emoticons and cool moves to impress other GTzens and most of all, to express yourself. Jump, dance, wave hello or bow and follow up with a big friendly smile, a shy blush or a flirty face (if you feel like it!).

From your backpack, add this to your effects, and then you will be able to access this from the cog and wheel icon in your menu. For more cool effects, hit the shops to choose from the range of avatar effects available – this definitely will give me that added sparkle to attract that mysterious stranger!
Invisibility? Nope, I’d want him to notice me! Shimmer? Haste? Egg-throwing? Snow? My vote goes to Fireworks for that extra attraction explosion So now that I had all of the moves to approach him and express myself, why was it still so hard? I was all out of ideas; perhaps there would be a better way to go about it? Just as I was about to sigh in frustration (for the second time), an idea occurred to me: head to the forums to check out ideas for approaching other GTzens and perhaps, to ask for help.
Fancy a quick surf of the Forums? Check out the bottom left hand corner for quick access The forums are an extension of the helpful GamesTown community. If you have any burning questions, just ask away and helpful GMs as well as fellow forumers will reply as soon as possible. What I loved best was the smooth integration of the Forums with GamesTown – I could look through a topic and try out the helpful suggestions at the same time. All it took was the simple click of a button to call out the Forums and some mouse-scrolling action. Yay! No more opening two browsers and logging in twice to access both the forums and GamesTown!
Send…? Composing a message and attaching gifts is simple stuff – but dare I click the “Send” button? After reading the entries for the Concise Confession Competition and the section on Trading in the FAQ, I decided to pluck up my courage and send him a gift and a message. Let’s just hope he will respond favourably… I’m so nervous, but it’s time to head to bed! There is going to be an event in GamesTown soon – a quiz! I hear there are great prizes to be won!
